Oasis have announced they will play at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena next year as part of their biggest ever UK stadium tour.
The Manchester band, who’s latest seventh studio album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ reached number one in the official UK album chart, will perform in front of an expected sell-out crowd on the 7th of July.
Noel and brother Liam Gallagher will be joined by local band The Enemy in what will be without doubt one of the biggest music shows to be played in the City.
It will be the first time Oasis have played in Coventry and the third chance for the Enemy to rock the Ricoh Arena after two successful acts earlier this year and Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena delighted the city will be hosting such a big event.
“Oasis are one of the biggest ever bands not just in this country but throughout the world. We are absolutely delighted that Liam and Noel Gallagher will be performing in Coventry and this is a major coup for the Ricoh and the city.”
He added, “Having Oasis and The Enemy on the same bill means this is going to an unmissable night.”
Oasis have built themselves a worthy reputation as one of the greatest ever rock & roll bands to come out of Britain and their seventh studio album which hit the UK album charts at number one has justified their status as the timeless kings of rock & roll.
Other dates for the eagerly anticipated tour include the Millennium Stadium, Wembley and a date in their home City at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
